    which has really helped me get the hang of some tactical tricks. Some problems very simple and some very tough but it's all learning. You have to solve against clock which adds something I think. It's free. Have a look.

    Yes, its very good. Playing at speed has always been one of my main failings at chess. After 2 months and about 1500 tactics, I've increased my rating on there by about 60 points on there, with more to come, I think.

    An excellent accompanying website is http://www.chesstactics.org/, where you can read some theory on the tactics you'll be practising on emrald.

    Good man Rag I'll have a look at that site too. It has really improved my game and rating so far so a bit of theory can only help.
