Yes, its very good. Playing at speed has always been one of my main failings at chess. After 2 months and about 1500 tactics, I've increased my rating on there by about 60 points on there, with more to come, I think.
An excellent accompanying website is http://www.chesstactics.org/, where you can read some theory on the tactics you'll be practising on emrald.
