Post some notable examples, for instance:
1. Do not move the queen during the opening as this wastes valuable time & she may well come under attack from minor pieces

That game made me ill. Black played like a small child that barely knew how the pieces moved.
2...f6 & 15...Rc8 were interesting choices.
He/she challenged me in an open invite. Hope I haven't put them off using the site!😀
don't move pawns in the opening, don't move the same piece multiple times, don't bring your queen out early.
danielsen's interpretation of the subject: 1 knight move, 2 queen moves and 11 pawn moves out of the first 14 moves in the game. and he crushed luther. 🙂 oh, and there's no castling either.

White's first 17 moves are pawn moves, yet he still manages to win!

Originally posted by lauseyI played that for a while myself, the Qa5 variation, never liked the icelandic version... (not sure of exact name Nf6, e6 etc) but got bored of it, the games were very open and always tended to trade down to an almost immediate endgame, if that makes any sense!?
I would say the centre counter game is an opening that is an exception to the rule:
1. e4 d5 2. exd5 Qxd5
Originally posted by YugaSo it would seem, but isn't one of the reasons that it is sound, the fact that black has already moved one of his knights more than once as well?
