Very nice! I think it is a growth moment for every player when they realize that there is more to a position than material.

The exchange sacrifice is probably the most tangible example of the conversion of one type of advantage into another, or of creating favorable imbalances. Great samples.

Apparently there is a Mount French in Austria.

I have already disignated one lad to climb it, play a French on it's summit
and send me the pics.

RHP Quests 214-217

Scour your atllas's boys. Seek mountians with chess names, conquer them
and play said opening on it's peak.

Find oceans and seas with chess names and play a game underwater
in it's murky depths.
(don't bother hiring aqua lung equiptment, just take deep breaths.)

Find girls with chess names. Sally Bishop, Mary King, Ethel Rook etc etc
Marry them and name your kids after chess computers.

Paul your job is to invent an opening called 'The Mars Attack' then go there
and play it on the surface of Mars. A piece of cake. NASA have an unused
shuttle laying about, borrow that.
(remember to hoist the vacation flag else you will get skulled in your games.)

Jump to it lads.

You found it, you climb it. That is the rules 1-2-3.

looks like Colorado also has "Torrey's Peak" (could play the Torre Attack), and Castle Peak, although I would not be able to just drive to the top of these, so they are out of the question! lol

There is also "Bishop's Castle" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishop_Castle which is basically a goofy castle that some crazy guy built (and is still working on).

That might be my next adventure!! It is pretty close to where I live, and have always wanted to go there.

Yes he did indeed beat Kasparov. (deliberate error no.1,234)

To make it up here is the game with David's own notes.
