You'll find this site improves your chess better than a blitz site. You're supposed to take your time and find the best move. If you want to play more games you'll need to subscribe, but i guess you'd better make sure you like the site b4 you do that. I think this is the best chess site on the net, that's why i subscribed, but it's not for everyone. You could try yahoo games, or www.playchess.com i you want to play blitz chess. 🙂

On my first game, my opponent is visibly "down" and has almost no chance of any recovery. He has basically stopped moving. Personally, I believe this is a cheap way to avoid losing and thus preventing one's rating from slipping.

There should be some kind of mediator or at least a reasonable time limit on a per-move basis. If you can't make a single move in a week then you shouldn't be playing the game.

Of course, that's my opinion.

There is reasonable time limit!!!

If you don't like the time limit, then don't accept the game..

So i go with your opinion 🙂

He will lose points maybe a week later, the timebank will time out
and you will be given a message saying 'claim win'. just check it
and the guy is history.

Sorry... I didn't see that there was a timeout. That's great news. Like I said, I am new to online chess so I wasn't completely familiar with the format. Didn't mean to waste anyone's time.

Cheers,
