can all those who have FIDE ratings put them down along with their RHP ratings just to corelate the two.The purpose of this thread is to see whether playing over the comp makes any difference to the performance. Also we will have a general idea as to how good some of our top playrs are.

I've a partial FIDE rating of 2104, RHP currently 1741.
Bear in mind you only need 9 results for a FIDE rating. National ratings, which are based on more games, are likely to be a useful guide as well. My Scottish rating is 1816.

Do you think playing over the computer makes any difference to your performance?

I remember Quirine being in the mid 2300's!

I don't have a FIDE. I do, however, have an ELO rating, which usually is about 200 points lower, if I'm not mistaken.
I don't know how the system works, but I'm still kind of provisional (when I win or lose a game I can gain or lose almost a hundred points). With a TPR of 1700 I guess I'll come arround 1600 at the end of the season.

Wow! this is a good question, i want to see more! come on people step forward please!

I have a national elo of only 1700 lol...ive only played in one tourney, and instead of being provisional i asked that they just start me at 1600! and ive only played one tournament, which was last weekend, which i finished third!! never got any money, i was dissapointed! I thought i played better, but i played 2200 rated ELO master in the first round, which got me off gaurd, blundered a damn pawn! then in the third round i played a 2000+ German master who just came to my country and he served me a horrible lose, which i blame myself, i played horrible, hadnt slept in 4 days, to excited about the tourney! won the second and the 4th, in the 5th i played a good friend of mine and decided on a quick draw even though i was up a pawn and a bishop, which was okay i guess, then in the final round to win first for under 1900 rating, i played the benko against a former master and 2000 rated player, and i blundered in the end game again!!! grrrrr...used to online chess, killed me, cant believe it, but ill be back with a vengence for the next one, they have me somewheres predicted though around 2000+ so we shall see in a couple more weeks!!

Regards, I have two more provincial tourneys to try and win so that i can qualify for nationals, then i can qualify to play in FIDE tourneys, and then ill have a rating, so im just going to keep on studying on board so i can get used to playing again!

Elo 1700 but way underated!
RHP rating 1973

Regards,

Dustin
