HI TV.

It was not knock at you. As I skipped through the game I too thought now
is the time to castle, then OOPS the e-pawn goes.
I added: ".....but that's just note oversight, easily done."

You are right 13.Nxf6+ does give Black loads of play. Perhaps

I was wondering what 1.Nxd4 cxd4 2. Bf3 could bring. Check the following pgn's. Tell me if you find a refutation it.

Hi Tv.

You are look good with the Bf3 idea. I like that it's better than my line.

So better for black is 1. Nxd4 cxd4 2. Bf3 Nd5 or 1. Nxd4 cxd4 2. Bf3 Qb6 3. Nxf6 Bxf6 with some of the problems greenpawn outlined still in play.

Maitkenhead,

there's no button:
www.redhotpawn.com/gamesexplorer

it also works from the other websites like chessatwork etc.
Trouble is, nothing's been added to it since 2007, which is a great shame. I've played some decent games since then.

Poor DR85 we are putting his game through the mangle.
I'm seeing (or not seeing is a better description) all kinds of varitions
that I never suspected where in there.

I'm all chess'd out. Need to recharge, see you on Monday.

In my opinion, it just goes to show that its a surprisingly interesting position (round about move 13).
