Rather thn trade knights and double your pawns up, you moved your bishop from d3 so the queen defended your knight, and then he he had to move his knight back. Not a very good attempt at being clever on the part of your opponent.
Game 1348619
First game, first win.. no idea why i didnt take the knight on move 17.

Originally posted by stevetoddWell, it seems that most of the opponents I played in the beginning played OTB chess, too. 😉 And I think studying the position for ages without an analysis board wouldn't have helped me that much at that time, my chess understanding and ability to visualize were not good enough to get much out of it. My ability to visualize is still very bad, as I don't play OTB and rely way too much on the analysis board.
I know exactly what you mean, when I first started here not only did I not know about the analysis board but I moved within a few mins of seeing the position, I eventually realized that my opponents were studying the position for ages, and that I was playing otb chess against correspondence chess.
first win - Game 87903
loss - Game 87861
draw - Game 87862
I remember the draw really annoying me because I thought that I had the game won, then blundered it away. The loss didn't bother me as much because at the time I was obviously the worse player.
