The ChessCafe.com Special of the Week for March 10-16

The Last (Weekly) Hurrah: TASC CHESS CD2

What better way, we thought, to close one era and usher in a new one than to offer one of our most popular CDs ever, the TASC Chess CD2. The comprehensive TASC 2 program has been recognized as one of the best tutorials and developmental chess programs for years. Originally on five separate floppy disks, the CD includes the 5 steps of the Chess Tutorials and the powerful Chessica for Windows playing engine.

For those of you looking for a great program to bring you from beginner to higher levels, the comprehensive TASC 2 program has been recognized as one of the best tutorials and developmental chess programs for years. Originally on five separate floppy disks, the CD includes the 5 steps of the Chess Tutorials and the powerful Chessica for Windows playing engine. Both MS DOS and Windows versions for the 5 steps program and Chessica works on Windows 3.X, '95, '98, NT4, XP and 2000-compatible machines. The chess tutorial comes in four languages (English, German, French and Dutch). There is no installation required; the tutorial runs directly from the CD. Chessica for Windows is in four languages (English, German, French and Dutch) and has unlimited number of installs as it runs from the CD.

TASC Interactive Chess Tutorials: Five steps from Beginner to Expert! Each step, a stand alone, contains instructive text, examples, and hundreds of thematic positions to solve. Each position offers help in the form of hints and advice; the programs keep score for you, tracking your progress in each section.

STEP 1: Rules and Basic Skills Great for children, beginners, and even experienced players interested in sharpening elementary skills.

STEP 2: Combinations and Opening Strategy Slightly more advanced tactics and strategies, including some opening basics.

STEP 3: Defense and Planning A guide to the tactics of defense and the basics of pawn structure and position based strategic planning.

STEP 4: King's Attack and Advanced Combos Fairly complex tactical attacking ideas to test even the stronger players' skills.

STEP 5: Tactics, Strategy, and Endgames The final chapter for those who aspire to mastery.

The TASC Chess CD2 has a suggested retail price of $65.00, but for one week only you may order this outstanding instructional program for $19.95, a savings of over $45.00!

Looool ...... 😀

You're welcome Sir Lot ! 🙂

"V.O.F De beste Zet", Eindhoven, Netherlands sells the CD for € 15. -- and what's more: they sell all of their English books, software and CD's with a 15 % price cut till the first of April (no joke !)

TascChess CD-ROM 2(cursus stap 1-5 + gratis Chessica speelprogramma) Spec. prijs!!
TASC
15,-

I'm sure they also have a lot of Belgian customers.🙂
They send the CD by mail. If you order books worth more than Euro 45.-- you don't have to pay the mail fees (postage stamps or whatever) but I think it is a good thing to ask Erika Sziva (who usually picks up the phone) or her husband Johan van Mill about that since they have to send it to Belgium. I assume you speak Dutch. In any case they speak English too.
