If I would have seen it, I might have posted after and clarified, stating the post was a joke. I thought his post was funny, and probably didn't need to be removed. It could go either way.

The real p ...[text shortened]... and completely rude. He cracked a harmless joke, and was treated pretty poorly in my opinion.
Statement "It wasn't clear that greenpawn was joking" can`t be serious.

Well, Greenpawn himself doesn't seem to have understood the reasons of the ban...
If, by the way, RHP administration admits to have overreacted by threatening Gp of ban, a good thing might be to apologize for this... no?

and Gp's post was clearly a joke ( the term "wee" shows it without ambiguity).

It's clear to everyone that knows him, everyone that has a good command of the English language, and everyone who knows what the green dot means. Let's say a new user from Azerbaijan stumbles into RHP and asks this question. He wouldn't know, right?

*This is a joke*

Seems greenpawn thought he didn't post at all, and posted the same thing again. That is easy to believe, and there hasn't been much trouble if any at all with greenpawn.

I hope I hear back.

Assume you've taken the initiative to send greenpawn a personal message.

Thanks, Tony, for your cool head and steady insight.

Rec'd.

If someone has poor English knowledge then he can misinterpret everything.

Heard nothing back yet. Would like to clear this misunderstanding up.

This is a very poor argument!

your logic is: "post was suppressed, because if it is not understood as it should, it can be misleading".
with such conditions, every post in the forum is likely to be suppressed!

Should everybody use a dictionnary for children under 7, to make sure even those not speaking English can understand? this is not very convincing!

Here, it was very clearly a joke, as the term "wee" suggests.

Her is my two bits(not they are of any importance) I believe that any member new or old should be assumed to have read the TOS and have checked out the site map. If they have not then it is their own fault if they believe something as ludicrous as that.

Done!

I sent this:

"On Phlab's suggestion, I am sending this feedback.

The player Greenpawn was recently threatened of ban, after one of his posts had been suppressed, visibly without valuable reason.

(see the two following threads:
http://www.redhotpawn.com/board/showthread.php?subject=Forum_Moderation&threadid=112455

and

http://www.redhotpawn.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=112459&page=1 ).

I (and visibly a few other people) think a RHP public post,
- explaining that the whole fault was that of the forum moderator;
- explaining that Green pawn shouldn't have been threatened of ban and his post suppressed;
- clarifying who did what, what went wrong;
- and explaining the criteria of forum moderation

... is necessary.

Thank you for your understanding,

MacPo
