I'm determined to go French frequently. Is there anyone out there who can act as some kind of mentor/advisor/coach (over the months; not just today)?
Also, can anyone point me towards any useful websites, e-books, PDF resources etc which would help my French quest?
Also, has anyone on the planet got anything they'd like to say about the French defence? For instance, personally I don't rate the advance variation (3.e5). It's not as dangerous as the Winawer or Tarrasch, in fact it's almost as boring as the exchange variation. The puzzle remains:- WHY is everybody playing it??

Ari Zeigler has a DVD out about the french. I really enjoy playing it, but it is not without it's difficulties (mainly lack of space). W/o seeing any of your games it's hard to say much more.
