Hi im totally new to computer chess. I dont have a clue as to where to discuss my ideas, and get help. Playing using WinBoard, it offers me to play on freechess.org or chessclub.com .... the interface to these chess servers is atrocious. The chat room feature is prehistoric. There are no real active chess IRC channels. ive checked #chess on EFNet, Undernet, Freenode. They are all generally idle. The chat on the freechess.org is not really there. Maybe someone just needs to show me. Anyways enough rant .
About this analysis: Basically I start the fried liver with move 6. Nxf7.
However, I give up a second piece later on, and it "essentialy" forces checkmate (its not one route, but all tested against GNU & GNU 5.07.
Fried Liver (I'm playing white)
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. Ng5 d5 5. exd5 Nxd5 6. Nxf7 Kxf7 7. Qf3+
Ke6 8. Nc3 ..
Okay now set your computer to play as black... If it makes
8. .. Nb4
You got them (as white)
You immediately castle.
The games continues like this: (a real person played black)
8. ... Nb4 9. O-O c6 10. d4 Nxc2 11. dxe5 Nxa1 12. Rd1 Nc2 13. Nxd5
cxd5 14. Rxd5 Qb6 15. Rd6+
Or as GNU continued (GNU is black, i am white):
8. Nc3 Nb4 9. O-O c6 10. d4 Nxc2 11. dxe5 Nxa1
Okay here black took the bait. Why else would they have moved the knight to b4?
12. Rd1 ...
That move is important. YOu can play it out against anything, please let me know how other engines handle it! My assertion is that if
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. Ng5 d5 5. exd5 Nxd5 6. Nxf7 Kxf7 7. Qf3+
Ke6 8. Nc3 Nb4
Then white should auto-win
I.e. 8. ... Nb4 is VERY BAD !!!!!
but the computers make that move!
please write me rookandpawn@operamail.com as well
