Hello,
I have recently *purchased* Fritz 11 to help me analyse my games. However, I'm still quite unsure on how to do so.
When I let the engine analyse my games I will see the standard ' + / - ' showing the strength of my moves, but I will only see these +s en -s whilst the engine is thinking! So when it has finished analysing my games I only get some comments like ' this move was better' or 'this lost the game' etc, no where are to be seen the +s and -s!
Can anyone help me? I've already tried google and their website but with no succes.
Thx in advance,

Just run through the game by clicking "game" "new game","engine" "switch off engine" make the moves & click the "infinite analysis" icon (which is a microscope but looks like a £ sign).
The values for each move will appear in the bottom right pane if you are using the default settings.
Any other questions, give me a shout.

I have tried the other options aswel but with no succes
I've used "Blunder Check" analysis to obtain evaluations for each move. Set the threshold to 0 to have it comment every move. Did you try this?

Originally posted by aethsilgneI don't think that's the best way to learn anything from engines. the most important step is analyzing the game yourself before you plug it into fritz, and then you should use the "infinite analysis" option, and dive into variations interactively, frequently asking the engine things like "why not this", "what happens if ..." etc.
That answered my question! It works just as I would like to, thank you very much for your help! I always had trouble to actually learn anything (chess-wise) by using Fritz but this should work 🙂
edit: OK I thought you were replying to varenka (the full analysis option) as well. so never mind.
Originally posted by aethsilgnefull analysis doesn't record engine scores nor the full main lines, but verbalizes them. blunderchecking records engine scores and has the full variation as well.

Thx in advance,
also when you're using infinite analysis, hitting ctrl+space puts the full engine variation with the score/depth into the game, which may come in handy sometimes.
