I've been playing around with the training feature on Fritz 12 and have given it a couple of games on 1800 level. In one game it move it's King straight into Check and in another made two moves one after the other. You can't take the moves back or anything and it just spoils the game.
Anybody else experience this?
Originally posted by greenpawn34Well there's obviously something up here. It won't even copy the games as normal. Here's the first occasion. It moves it's King into check. I've no idea what all the garble is betweeen the moves in the PGN. Can anybody decipher this and put it into one of those game reader things. I'm hopeless with that! No idea how this is going to help solve the problem though.

Hi - save the game without all that commentary.
it stops here. With Black trying to play 25.....Kf4
[fen]1r6/p1pr2p1/3bRp2/B1p2Pkp/4R3/1P6/P1P2P1P/6K1 b - - 0 25[/fen]
Very strange. Does it play 24....Kf4 in the game?
Is this the same position?

Sorry, don't think I can help... Just wanted to say that Chessbase might want to rename it "On the Fritz 12". Hehe
P.S. You might want to check for a patch if you haven't done so.
Anyway i'm going to contact customer support and see what they say. It's definitely a genuine copy purchased from Chess Direct.

It's funny, but the video didn't play for me in Firefox, but worked in Internet Explorer.
Originally posted by Mad RookThanks for this. I've just updated the gui. No idea exactly what it's done though it all looks exactly the same.

One more thing. When i went to update the GUI it told me the programme hadn't been activated yet. This is bizarre. I've been playing with the thing for the past two weeks. I had to enter some figures and it told me activation was sucsessful. I thought the fact i'd been using every part of the programme meant it was already activated. This bit is most confusing!!
