I've been experiencing troubles in the Playchess engine room. Every first game of the day, my GUI freezes for about 5 minutes after the game, and it times me out. Also, the engine's performance has dropped. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do about this? Thanks

The problem you describe has happened to me once or twice, but not "recently". (I have a short history in the engine room, perhaps four weeks.)
No problems here. What service pack do you have and how long do you leave Fritz GUI running? In fact my engines rating had dropped to about 2300 and now is 2530s.
In my case I use the Fritz GUI only when playing in the engine room and the PlayChess client for all other things ie playing, kibitzing etc
Originally posted by z00tI'm not sure what service pack I'm using, but It's the Junior 10 GUI, and isn't that the same as the Fritz 9 GUI? I was experiencing these problems before too, but they stopped all of a sudden and my engine rating went up to 2673, only losing about 2 out of 20 games. The problem now presents itself again. 😞

EDIT: I have GUI version 9 and it is fully updated. Is this the same as the service pack?
