Originally posted by cmsMasterwell, keep in mind I am a new simple minded chess player. i would play fxg2 and then white Kg1xg2 then black Qh4xf2 and then go from there. though I am sure there is something better
From a game I just played:
[fen]5r2/6kn/rp1N2pp/2pPp3/P1P1P2q/R1Q2p1P/5PP1/R5K1 b - - 0 29[/fen]
Black to play.
Should black play fxg2, and why/why not? Are there better moves for black, if so, what are they?
Originally posted by cmsMasteri wouldn't say either side is winning. chess is a war of attrition in my eyes, generally speaking. i will go so far to say, however, that white has better position
Well, I never said that it would be easy for everybody, but you're doing fine so far. You just have to figure out whether black will be winning after 1...fxg2 or not.
