The orginization of this forum is not so red hot but i needa new place to post.
This is for all the gambit openings. I wanted to know what you thought of some of them. Some you like to play some where you think the comp is just not enough. Maybe some hidden treasures like the Reti Gambit vs the french or the Blackburne gambit in the philidor.
I would like to start with the Rosseau Gambit it starts like this.
1.e4 e5
2.nf3 nc6
3.Bc4 f5!?
this is the beginning og the gambit and rarely any one plays the correct response against me! So i have alot of fun in this line.
Post your move for white and ill post some analysis for those of you interested!
The Reti gambit is fun as well.
1.e4 e6
2.b3 d5
3.Bb2 de
4.Nc3 Nf6
5.Qe2
This is the most common early formation. The idea is that you will begin to attack the king side with moves lie g4 and hopefully be able to utilize the bishop at some point but its not necessary. The positions that arise are very interesting. I used to play the french and i dont think i would know how to react before i saw the article by Tim McGrew.
