Are we allowed to publicly discuss unrated games?
Recuvic is giving me some lessons on the Najdorf Sicilian, and we've reached a critical position, and I want to know if I'm allowed to discuss my options in the forum. Every one is of course allowed to look at the game. Recuvik suggests black play d5 here with equality, and I want to know why Rab8 doesn't reach just a little more than equality (if not just equality, by another route)

as far as i know it is against the rules to discuss a game in progress regardless of whether or not it is rated.

If your opponent is giving a lesson and agrees to the game being discussed I don't believe it should be a problem but it would be something you both would need to agree should be done.

I gave some lessons months ago and opened all games up for discussion in the forum by agreement with my opponents.

As the previous post suggests just being unrated is not a valid exception to the "no discussing games in progress" rule.

so everyone knows, white cannot play Bxa6, cuz then Ra8 just simply wins with a material advantage.

and I suppose that it wuld be rude to say: "hey, your advice isn't good enough, even though you're taking time out of your day to teach me. May I consult people in the forum as well?" so, I'll just stick with him, since he's been really good, and thourough in his explanations.
