It will be hard to outplay a 2300 rated player like that.
I think c5, e6, or e5 are going to give the most trouble, although I can't see the black side of a ruy lopez really given us that many chances. 🙂

Not really ... 4. Nc3 is a four knights for instance. The theoretical draw has already been avoided on move 4 in that case. He can also throw in an early d3 or Qe2 among other things. 🙂

I vote 1... c5. And when the sicilian is chosen, may I suggest 2... g6? Also, I agree with a previous poster that a new thread should be created for each move; there are a lot posts in here and I don't want to trawl through all of them to find the correct page. Once we make the first move, please make a new thread. It just makes it much easier to follow. Thanks
