Voting for move 1 is now closed.

    1. ... c5 is our move. 🙂

It is ok to let this thread die. I will start a new one as soon as I get PAWN RIOT's response.

we should stick to this thread.

I also think that if a certain move at any time in the game can be proven to give an advatage to PAWN RIOT that all votes for that move should not be counted and the people who voted for it not allowed to resubmit a vote for that particular move.

It wasn't my idea to have more than 1 thread. So many people seem to have a problem with 1 thread that I caved. I guess multiple threads will be alright.

If he meets 1. e4 c5 with 2. Nf3, I was thinking of making it multiple choice.

    A. 2. ... d6
    B. 2. ... Nc6
    and so on

People were talking about a separate thread for analysis. Not a new thread for every move. 🙂

I read at least one about someone not wanting to flip through all the pages. Someone tried to explain that they could start at the last page and go backwards.

It would get annoying to find a thread per move though.. if they can't figure out how to start on the last page then it's not a big loss.

I say definitely start a new thread for each move!

I think making a new thread PAWN RIOT vs. The Forum (Move 2) is appropriate. I strongly agree with previous posts saying that it would be inconvenient to flick through all the endless pages that will accumulate to find the right page.

For example on the first day I may reach page 57 of this thread, and the next day have to remember it was that page I reached before reading through to the end... plus when the page number gets very large then it takes several clicks to get there, since you can only move forward 10 or so pages with each click.

Yes just the thread title PAWN RIOT vs. The Forum (Move 2) plus the move list & FEN should be ok:

    PAWN RIOT vs The Forum
    1.e4 c5

If it takes a couple of days per move then it's not like the only chess forum will get clogged with these threads.

I'd agree with the idea of a new thread per move. It would be useful to have a link to the thread for the previous move (possibly all the previous moves but that would probably be too cumbersome later in the game) at the start of each new thread so people can check the analysis up to that point.

I'd end the thread with a link to the new one: Thread 101730

And start the new thread with a link to the old one.

I'll edit that in to the new one.
Tell me what to type and how to get the number of this thread.
