GM Alex Fishbein simul at the Denver Chess Club this Thursday Jun 23
I posted some of the details on my website, http://tacticstime.com , including a map and directions on how to get there. I found a video with a very brief interview with GM Fishbein as well that I posted. I am planning on going - should be fun!!
It is this Thursday (June 23rd). The DCC president didn't say anything about having to be a member (I am not a DCC member). He said the cost is only 5$.
Normally in a simul the GM plays white in every game.
I'm planning on going - should be fun! Normally the "simuls" in Colorado are fairly half arsed and silly - like someone who is a 2200 floored master dressed in an animal costume lol :-)

How did GM Fishbein do? Was one of his opponents an LM in a rabbit suit? 🙂
There were 18 people playing against GM Fishbein, who is a really nice guy.
Fishbein had 14 wins, 4 draws and 0 losses (I am getting my information 3rd hand, I didn't stay til the very end, so may not be 100% accurate).
I drew my game against him, and was the first game done!! Game is below.
I was really happy with my position, and the way I played. Afterwards he told me, "You were totally winning" :-) Even though it was a simul, I was happy I could keep up with a GM.
The other people to get draws were Chris Peterson, Isaac Martinez, and Ted Doykos.
Great job by the DCC putting this together on short notice.
