do u know of any good resources on or ways to learn how to limit ur opponent's space? i dont think i do this very effectively, and i dnt really know how to get better.
also whats a gd way to react to the english as black? the english is quite popular with ppl at my chess club, and i tend to get into positional difficulties as black

Not sure this is what you are looking for, but there are some excellent articles in the Novice Nook section of chesscafe.com by Dan Heisman. He addresses a different area in monthly lessons, and all (most anyway) of the lessons are archived.
