@AttilaTheHorn saidThat's very old in the computer world.
@Martin
I've been using this laptop for about 13 years. It works for everything else just fine.
13 year old cellphones are obsolete and unusable, just to give you some perspective.
I imagine your laptop can't keep up anymore.
My cellphone is only 5 years old and I'm already losing access to some gaming apps in the playstore. (Android)
A 13 year old laptop is a dinosaur.
@Lonestranger saidRegarding older computers, if your computer manufacturer has stopped supporting your hardware with OS updates (security or otherwise) then RHP might not work.
If RHP doesn't support older computers they are losing customers, however most likely it's a problem with the update. It's a simple game so why would a modern graphics card be needed??
In most cases this isn't an issue, but Apple, for example, release browser updates along with OS updates, so once it falls out of support, the browser (Safari) stagnates fast. (Right now approx 2018 and before is no longer supported by Apple)
Alternatives browsers exists though, Firefox being a good candidate.
No one wants to waste money on a new computer, when the old one is "fine", but a computer without security updates will become a liability eventually.
@ROOSTER saidI have just tried to address a few issues with the PGN viewer used in Geoff's blogs, specifically on a mobile display.
@venda
For me, the right side of the boards are off screen.
(Android phone)
Also, the next move buttons are too far away.
Scroll up, scroll down. Yawn.
The board should be full size now on mobile now, and the navigation buttons shouldn't be quite so far away. You can also close the PGN/Headers button bar to reclaim a little more vertical height too.
@Russ saidNot windows
Assuming Windows :
Windows Key + PrtScn to save the full screen as a file (in Pictures/Screenshots),
Chromebook is an OS system
It would work fine if I could get rid of the picture at the top somehow of the old chap inning up "solution"
Don't worry about it and thanks for your time
@Russ
It's still not a major issue,but I have managed to do a screenshot of greenpawns' post and have the file as an image on my chromebook(about 3 times!some progress!)
What I cannot seem to do now is post it into the forum.
When I do copy and paste it nothing happens.
I would just like to know,when you have a minute ,what I am doing wrong.
I stress it's not really that important
