    Yes I am 60 today.

Having a wee party with the family and am looking forward
to getting exciting socks and aftershave. No bloody jig-saws.

Now I can do a Fischer and write: My 60 Memorable Years.

Not much to remember. I cannot recall the first 5 years.
I hated my school years, my teenage years were worse.
I got married in 1977 and I want to forget everyday since then.

So that leaves just one good year. 1972.
That will do. The magic year of 1972. The other 59 can go to blazes.

Edit: Now there is a sign of old age. I've spelt Birthday wrong. It's Brithday!

Then the happiest of all brithdays to you, good sir. Many thanks for all the chuckles, the thoughtful commentary, and even the articles/posts where I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Thanks to you, I have a voice inside my head that constantly says Attack attack attack! Good thing I only hear it when I'm playing chess.

    All the best,
    Steve

    1972

I'm sure it was a good year for me too! How bad can it be for a 3 year old living in Southern California?

    Happy Birthday!

The first 5 years are a blur.

My earliest memory is my mum tying a rock around my ankle
and taking me to the canal. Then the nightmares start.

I was hoping this was not the day of your brith, as defined in Judaism! You be late!

Happy birthday today and as many more as you can stand.

    Happy Birthday!

Did you start playing in '72 with the Fischer Boom? Or was that only in America?
