I can't find the original thread, but there is one somewhere. Apart from Tebb, do you think the people calling themselves gms (in this occasion- nigel short-) are real?

no, i just beat nigel short in a blitz game and he claimed to be 2645

I played him too. Wikipedia lists him as 2649 and I am playing him now and am a rook up. I will post the game soon!

The ratings on this web site seems to be higher than OTB ratings. For instance, I once reached 1837 on this site while my highest OTB rating so far is 1615. So I think, no, there is no grandmaster here.
