I just finished this game [gid]5378582 [/gid]
Firstly
1. I thought the way i played through the opening and into the middle game was one of my better games, I know it needs improvement(Iam not sure what i need to do i just know it needs it), i see it as one of my better games and can not see many things that i have done wrong,or need improving so i thought the best thing to do was seek outside help.
2. The resignation, i did not see my position as having that much of an advantage i knew i had the advantage but for him to resign that early on and at my rating and skill i do blunder quit often. Is there something to be seen i knew i had his queen in the next couple of moves but i thought if i were to get a checkmate it would be a while down the track. Any help appreciated
Thanks Max
Originally posted by max92On the resignation, Black will have to play 20...Kf8, then I think 21.Nd5 wins the black queen. But at these ratings, if I were Black here, I'd have probably made White find the right move.

Edit - Well, a queen is a pretty big advantage. Usually justification for resignation at almost any level, unless you think your opponent will likely hang pieces very soon.
Edit - On the opening, it seems OK to me, except I would have kept it simple by just playing 10.Nxd4 instead of 10.e5.

Nice play indeed. After the queen comes off there really is no hope for Black and your previous good play justifies his resignation regardless of your rating.
