yes in some blitz tournament this is the case but they will always clearly tell you this before the tourney starts.

They actualy took my king once😳

In some rapidplay, your opponent is allowed to claim two minutes extra time if you make an illegal move. Although I think if you keep making illegal moves in the same game, your opponent can claim the game...?

Where I play when it's 5 0 or less making an illegal move and hitting the clock can mean you lose. Normally you're given a second chance. Do it again and you lose. The exception being if you make a move that puts (or keeps) you in check. Say moving a piece that's pinned to your king or something.

HI,
let me make it clear that according to revised FIDE laws for Blitz chess, U SHOULD NOT CAPTURE THE OPPONENT'S KING. U LOSE!
That is true, u lose if u capture ur opponents king!
earlier they used to allow but not now.
SImilarly u can claim a win if ur king gets a check from the opponent but u make a different 'illegal' move.. and he captures ur King!

Unless you are playing in an official tournament I wouldn't rely too much on this rule 😉 you just never know what decision the organisation will make.
