IS there really any way to tell if someone is using a chess engine or program to help them move? Any tell tale signs? Just curious

Some sites (eg ICC) have software which can tell in real time if a person is switching between programs.
Other than that, the moves would need to be examined one-by-one to see how they correspond with those of the engines.
But this can be done by the engines themselves.
