Their right Qh4+ is no good against the Kings Gambit it doesn't work out too well for Black play the Falkbeer Gambit or another line.

A game played by someone rated ~1000 is not a very good indication of how good an opening is.

Haha! We had a few good games with that opening. I think if you are playing an unprepared opponent (who is not 1900+) you might have a few chances.

    Here we go:

    Game 2476497
Probably one of my better played games. I was threw caution to the wind and decided to march my kingside pawns...

    AND...

    Game 2513067

I have pride for these games for they are against the greatest opponent I have every played.
    lol.

And I spent hours with a pen and paper going over the possible lines...

Needless to say, all in vein as I lost the game from move 2...Qh4+

(I couldn't get the pgn viewer to work)

and you didn't do too badly either.

I expected Qh4+ to be particularly bad for black but when we left the book black didn't stand too badly and it was only a blunder that lost the Q vs R ending. Recently I have only drawn just such an ending (Game 4839399 although not a KG)

I don't want that to happen - you will have to wait until the CD comes out.
Spassky once was asked why he played the King's Gambit. He stated that the Ruy Lopez and the Giuoco Piano did not give White a lasting advantage. Why not play the King's Gambit? This is the best thing I can say about the King's Gambit.

    3. Kf2???!!!???!!!???!!!???!!!

It's a cute trap, but surely it can't survive more than a couple moves... what happens if black's smart enough to go straight for mate rather than grabbing the e pawn? for example, 5. ... e5 0-1.
