@schlecter saidOne has to wonder what that assertion of a 600+ point gap is based on. In my observation, the ratings at RHP tend to be fairly close to (that is, no more than about 100 points above) the FIDE rating I'd have expected. The RHP ratings over 2300 seem especially fair indicators of what the FIDE rating would be.
In a video from YouTube I found a person that said:
"1400 ELO FIDE is a player very strong.... so in online sites (like RHP) his/her ELO should be around 2000-2300"
I think it compares only if you have been playing here for 5+ years
and can look at your 5 year average.
A FIDE rating is based on one OTB game. Here your rating can change drastically
from hour to hour to as you plough through a load of games on the same day.
One mistake can see you lose a chunk of rating points.
I've seen mistakes on RHP that would not be made OTB because the player
would be concentrating on one game not banging at moves in 5 second intervals
playing 20 or more games at once.
On your profile is your average rating over a 5 year period. I'd say that is a good
judge (provided of course one has played here for 5 years.) mine is 1898 which Is
close to my last OTB grade 1920.
Here I have been over 2000 and over 2200 in OTB play (a long time ago)
but as you get older you drop off a bit. I have and it shows in that 5 year period.
The O.P. Schlecter's 5 year rating is 1386 - he said he was approx a 1400 player
so that is about right.
It could be higher if he spotted how to win a piece in Game 14489726 and 21...Nxf4 which mates in a few moves in Game 14655512 (he lost the first
game and took a perpetual in the latter.)
Slow down Schlecter, you would not have missed them in an OTB game.
(I only looked at five random games and found 2 missed wins. And one was game you drew but I think you should have lost Game 14663059 White should have
played 31.Rb6 you cannot break the pin on the a7 Knight.)
@schlecter saidJMHO - Ratings here on RHP are inflated due to the dropout rate, which is far higher in CC than OTB. The spread between the two will differ with each player.

It seems to me a true statement ....
but a little bit sad.... because I am 1400 RHP..... so in FIDE I should be a 800 ..... or less...
