I have found the Chessmaster 9000 documentation to be lacking with respect to defining exactly what is meant by Agreement Percent, the number of agrees and disagrees, total error and relevant error. I know in a general sense what these are all about, but can anybody give me very specific meanings for these?

For example, if it says it disagreed with my moves 7 times, what specifically does this figure represent? Does it mean that my move was different than the engine's optimal move 7 times, or something else?

What is the difference between total and relevant error? I am looking for numerical and fomulaic answers to these questions if anybody knows them.

Thanks,
Dr. S

I don't own CM but I think this is how it works.
If the move you made is worse than the move CM thinks should be made in that position by a larger margin than the threshold it's reported as a disagreement. In Fritz I can set my threshold to what I want. Say I want it to find big blunders I set it to 75 (75 centipawns so 3/4 of a pawn). If I want more variations I set it lower.
A move counts as relevant error say if it hangs a piece and the opponent takes it. A move would be irrelevant error if the opponent didn't take it. Fritz would just give both moves ??s and be done with it.

Thank you very much. This is exactly what I was looking for.
