there was no cheating in the first game either 🙂 a tiny bit in the second... I think the Excalibur plays quite well, I don't often see computers play loosing attacks but its a nice playing style.
I''ve got 2 games in this opening running on here now.
If I do say so my self 😏 these 2 games are rather good
if you are graded less then 1500 they are good tactics lessons, why I posted them, realise they might be chess 101 for some of the stronger players here.
you were supposed to say yes e4chris, those are very interesting games, here is one of mine. 🙂
I am trying this line out against the much stronger Saitek and it is a real headache it plays very similar to the second game, playing d4 to protect the knight but after I play d6 it attacks with the queen on h5, it might have a glitch here too. but it won the first game easily...
Last move is forced - Saitek at 2 min per move... any tips welcome... 11 ng4? at the rook sac it only put me down -0.4 so maybe I lost after that...
edit the more I play it the more rubbish it gets! 🙁
I think I would have tried 8...Rg8. Also instead of 10...Ng4 maybe developing the queenside pieces with a hope of castling may have worked out better. 10...Kf7 might be considered too.

I will try that thanks... I can take c2 on move 9 too but I suspect the computer will smash my position if I do...
On 2 min per move it thinks for ages c4 min before playing 5.Qh5+ but on this level it played the opening quite quick and jumped to 7.Be3, which seems to loose. It seems to get lost like the cheaper computer. I had to take back a few moves 11...Qe6 rather then Qe5 - whites knight attacks and 19...Bg7 rather then Nb4, which does not win anything. I think there's a win with 26...Rf8, 27...Bf5. But I'd taken back to many moves then.
Incidentally I am not playing any games on rhp in the line the computers are using, no one is playing against the Saitek! 🙂 - both play this with enough time and both only have up to 3 Nxe5 in there opening book, the rest is calculated.
