Lol. Well, if it's a talking watch, it might tell you...

Actually my choice of watch is usually based on the price. My current watch cost me fifteen euro.

I prefer analogue, but this one just happened to have a digital counter at the bottom as well, which I mostly ignore anyway.

How does a combo work, and what is its purpose? I never heard about this before.

Edit: Oh, wait - maybe I misunderstood the whole thing, and this is about how the time is displayed, not about mechanical and electronic? In that case, I think all my watches have been analogue.
combo watch is one that is essentially analog but also has a digital time displayed
This is normally a digital time display below the 6 on the analog display

So it's just about the display, and both parts are electronic? I have seen those.

I had a watch 16 years ago. dropped it into a melting pot full of molten metal. haven't used one since. no need for it really, as everything has a clock nowadays.

There probably won't be a strong correlation or even a moderate one (positive or negative). So, if it's neither of those, there won't be a meaningful correlation at all. You're probably entirely correct, and I expect the same. It's too broad of a generalization. BUT, I have a (somewhat comical) story as to why I'm conducting this, though. When the poll's over, I'll share.

I had one of those cheap analogue watches a few years ago. I didn't buy a new watch after it stopped working because I really don't need one anymore. Even if there aren't any clocks around, I can just take a look at my cell phone.

Edit: So that makes my vote 4

I can't wear a watch cause I have too much electro magnetism in my body. Any battery operated watch will cease to function within 24 hours on me.

But, this has nothing to do with chess. Maybe you should've posted it in the General forum?

I think the idea is that he's relating watch wearing to chess playing.

I admit this is loosely related to the Chess forum. My polling pool *needs* to be more serious chess players, and I know a lot of you avoid the General forum like the plague, so I hope I don't offend anyone by this survey being here. I will post the results in a spreadsheet when I get 100 responses (or if this thread dies sooner). To the survey!
...[text shortened]... n of analog and digital.
4) I don't ever wear or carry a watch.

Thanks for your attention.

My aunt can't wear a watch for the same reason. And I've already covered your other concern.

What about mechanical watches? My watch doesn't need batteries.
