Interesting position, interesting answer

Well, I lost this game because I didn't see blacks next move(I played Nd5). After analyzing the game with Fritz when I had lost I found quite an interesting answer. See if you can get it.

Black to move:

Re8, if white takes the queen it's checkmate for black.

Black to move and preserve equality...

Rae8= gets blacks rooks to the center without having to retreat the queen thanks to the back rank threat.
