I believe that I remember someone saying that Akizy used to be a titled player, but I don't know how highly he was rated.

I don't think David Tebb is an IM. He may be an FM.

Think he was a FM...Think he quit didnt he otherwise he would have been an IM i think...

You can't quit a title.
Once you've got it, it is yours for life (other than one case where FIDE took it back).

Think what he means is if he hadn't of quit, he would have gone on to achieve the IM title.

Actually I don't think he is an FM, either...

Good enough to kick Kasparov's ass, though, and a major asset to RHP.

It was a simul game so Kasparov wouldn't have been playing at the best of his ability. Still would be extremely difficult to beat him in that situation though.

In another thread asking for titles players here, I believe I heard that Tebb could've gotten an FM title but didn't want to pay the fee for it 😛.
