anybody know what's happening ? - no pieces are visible on any game - the board
is there , plus the green-highlighting showing the last move - but that is all

.

i found out what it was- i changed to a different piece-style( i had been using the alpha style) and that solved
the invisibility problem

it would seem that the alpha-style pieces are playing-up
.

No, you just have to clear your browser's cache. Perhaps if you would switch back now, perhaps it works again...

What is the form of chess called when you play any moves and an arbiter tells you if you move was legal or not till you make a legal move (i.e. you do not get to know what your opponents moves were)

It's the Ninja Defense, Stealth variation. That's why so many people play 1.d4 instead.
