People won't take time to help you improve while you continue whining. Look at the various threads in this forum that have commanded excellent and prompt help. They are the ones that ask for help in a polite manner. Do the same and people will help. Whine and people will tell you to shut up. Your choice.

Everybody has a 'dead period' where no matter what you do, you never seem to improve. Keep on playing/studying and have a little faith in yourself. How do you expect to improve if you keep telling yourself that you'll fail?

Drum up an attack of your own... don't get too anxious about knights in your territory - sure they're uncomfy but they're not necessarily devastating.
Counter an attack on the wing w/a push up the centre.
Or use openings designed to castle Q-Side... as the gentleman before me stated!
Or just commence drinking heavily as soon as white pieces begin to swarm around yer King. Works every time for me.
