Assuming both players were in there prime, who would win?

Kasparov(2850 in his prime) or Fisher (2780 in his prime)

Note that when Fischer gave up his title in 1975 he might've have grown stronger over the next few years.

I personally think Kasparov would win.

Kasparov, as he would have twenty years plus more knowledge of opening theory, and correspondingly extra and better preparation.

My question is would Fischer be as good as Garry if he had the team of Grandmasters to help him prepare.

Take them both in their prime and throw them in a cell. Neither one knows about the match ahead of time. They play best of 11. Who wins?

This question is annoying chesskid.

Don't have me start to favour Gastel over you, personally I think that Gastel should pick on someone his own size.

Even had you started at 2 you still would not have been fit to lick his arse.
