    had this computer for a couple of weeks now (bought on ebay good condition..a right bargain).... plays really nice .. on the downside i am not very good at chess!
    Any tips/tricks how i can come even close to winning it lol!

    Did you try setting it on the easiest level?

    Btw, is this the SciSys Kasparov Turbostar 432?

    You could post up a game in the forums here. Computer programs all tend to differ in style depending on their positional/piece value algorithym, game databases and move depth

    Personally I hate playing against computers unless it plays 'weird' moves, such as 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 d5 or 1. f4 e6 2. Nf3 Bd6?

    Then I'll go out of my way to destroy it

    It really seems to read my soddin' mind lol!
    Like i say i am rubbish at chess but willing to learn!

    It looks like your best chance of beating it will be to set the skill level to A8 (1 second handicap level). Just check the manual for instructions. If you don't have a manual, here's an online pdf version:

    Level A8..... Yeah just looked at the pdf..... not tried it yet..... got a few things to do but later will try it out.... it says 1 second hadicap?? lol.... yes thats me alright.....i feel a marathon chess session coming on....behing closed doors... and no IBM tech's to fiddle like in 97'..... me against the 432! ha ha! watch this space... if i dont come out alive anyone want a turbostar??
    i might be renamed it deep 432.....😛

    Yeah just beat the bloody thing for the first time this morning!!! then ten minutes later won again! (on easy level A8) How chuffed am I!
    Any one know what the ELO rating is for the easy level on the turbostar??
    It will be low but it will give me a bench mark to improve on...
