Did you try setting it on the easiest level?

Btw, is this the SciSys Kasparov Turbostar 432?

You could post up a game in the forums here. Computer programs all tend to differ in style depending on their positional/piece value algorithym, game databases and move depth

    Personally I hate playing against computers unless it plays 'weird' moves, such as 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 d5 or 1. f4 e6 2. Nf3 Bd6?

Then I'll go out of my way to destroy it

Yes it is a SciSys Kasparov Turbostar 432
    65C02 cpu 4 MHz 8 bit

    32KB ROM + 8KB KSO ROM 4KB RAM

    Opening Book
    Standard - 8,000 ply
    KSO - 3,000+ lines 36,000 ply

It really seems to read my soddin' mind lol!
Like i say i am rubbish at chess but willing to learn!
    Cheers

It looks like your best chance of beating it will be to set the skill level to A8 (1 second handicap level). Just check the manual for instructions. If you don't have a manual, here's an online pdf version:

Any one know what the ELO rating is for the easy level on the turbostar??
