Originally posted by ralph sniderlego do an excellent chess game for P.C. takes them through the very basics and has little scenarios when a piece is captured etc, my little boy loves this game even though he doesn't play chess that often.
What's the best DVD for kids to learn chess?
My kids are 6 and 4 years old.
Thanks

When my kids were this age they didn't really get into playing on the screen so much (although they did enjoy the lego game mentioned above for a few games)....www.chesskids.com is good if you haven't been there already.
Also age 4 might be a bit young for chess. There is a risk that after "growing up" to be a big 5/6 year old they will look down on chess as a game for little ones...obviously all kids are different but this might be worth watching out for.
