I figured I would join the club of people who post games on here. I am white.

Here is a game I just played on FICS (note that I am a much weaker player when playing quickly!) where I think I made some nice sacrifices. First a pawn, then a night, then some more semi sacrifices in combinations later. I am finally able to let myself give up material for positional advantage, even if it was just a pawn!
(I must admit that 20... g4 did throw me a little though, I missed that one!)

      He missed 28....Qxh3+

And he missed mate in two on move 31... I'll leave that for you to figure out. He missed mate in two again on move 34...Qf2+ 35.Rg2 Qxg2#

If it were me I would slap myself and count it as a loss to learn from. No offense intended.

Edit: oh and 20...Ng8 21.Rh3+ Nh6 and you can close the books on this one. Once again, no offense intended.

sacrifice does not mean blindly giving away material in hopes of a swindle. Only the last one was good, but that you survived until then says alot about your opponent's strength.
