I skipped page 2 and come to the end. I read this forum religously and other chess sites. I am tired and disappointed in all the cliche answers to serious questions. I, and many others need help improving. How about some specific answers. Not a solution to a particular situation. For example: when I am studying the position and cannot come up with one improving move. My mind cannot come up with a plan. I don't see an practical series of moves. How does a person conceptualize? My opponent will not sit still while I make 5 moves to achieve some desired position. Tell me how you get your inspitation. This is the kind of stuff we need. How to generate a strategy. Perhaps someone can sit down and give a seminar on tactics or stratagy. Some useful advise.

Originally posted by Fat Lady6..Nh6 is a line that is out of fashion...white knows better to take the knight, even after first playing b4. Black has problems equalizing in that line thanks to the line where white plays Bd3..amazingly the lies of databases say that black is better after 6..Nh6, but really it's far from the best move black has.
I like 6 ... Nh6 in that position. If White plays 7. Bxh6 (?) then Black has 7. ... Qxb2.
