I think this would be a rather instructive look into the mind that is mateulose. Lets keep all of his gripes and complaints about himself here on one thread. If we get all the information together in one place, maybe he can figure out once and for all why he loses. I'll start ...
"I get so caught up with my long term plans that I overlook opponents little tactical tricks. That's my problem, defending against tactics, now if you can find a book that helps to defend against tactics and avoid blunders, that's what I need."
[Answer: Make surpressing opponant's counterplay part of your gameplan.]
"I don't know what's up, but it seems game after game I am doing tactical blunders that cause my opponent to win. I'm geting absolutely FRUSTRATED with this happening, what should I do to rectify it? I'm geting to the point that I study nothing but tactics, for 3-4 hours everyday, yet still, I do it. One game, I did a capture and only considered 2 peice captures, I didn't see his pawn could also capture and fork two of my peices! Another game, I captured with a pawn, thinking, "wow, this improves my pawn structure", I didn't even see how the pawn being moved after the capture left my bishop en prise to a rook, to make matters worse, I could of captured with my queen instead and still be in a better position, it seems like books are making me a worse player, making things more complicated then they should. Simple newbie things like that, I didn't see, and to be honest, I don't know how I got the rating I have by doing the newbie mistakes I make game after game that throws it away.
I simply blunder too often to be a 1600 rated player, let alone anything better. I don't know how to stop it, I have all the time in the world in RHP and I STILL blunder. Blunder, after blunder, I cannot stop it. I know that in each game, I am bound to make at least ONE obvious blunder that may lose a peice, it's frustrating. To make matters worse, when I do these blunders, I see the danger, but somehow, "forget" to calculate captures with another peice that I somehow don't see."

maybe he should look at that, it offers a way of writing down games that tries to prevent bunders... if mateulose says this doesnt help he should quit chess
