wib,zucchinni,lucifershammer and the rest...
I think it's really great what all of you are doing with the live games, but I think its gone a bit over board.
The Idea was good when there was only one game, but now there are 6 and god knows how many more people will decided to do this. The chess forum is getting flodded, and honestly it takes out a lot of the fun and uniquenes that were here before.
the Wild'n'Wolley thread for example has gone 'out of bussiness' already, and many more thredas.
New players coming to RHP that will see that this thread is mostly live games might not enjoy this thread as much as they might normally do, so please keep the games in one thread from now on,because although its a great cause, it is really damaging the forum in my opinion.
If I will see that I am the only one thinkling this way, I will shut up and let you continue without saying a word, please no one turn this thread into a fight....

Maybe the problem could be solved by creating a new forum for publicly annotated games, as there probably is interest in having even more of these (e.g. I would perhaps like to play such). I don't think putting them all in same thread would work so well, the games are easier to follow if there is a thread for every game..
This may be a very stupid idea, please do criticize..

Since there was one or a couple of games,I was watching them with interest but now this idea became popular and the forum starts to be flooded by ''public games''.
Don't spoil a good idea by making it becoming annoying.
I wish we could see an unrated game between some top players and commented by themselves or other heavy hitters:this would be really useful to the learning purpose.

I don't want the games to stop, I just want them to decreese.
The first game I watched bery carefully, the second a bit less and since the third one I just gave up.
Arranging a game between two heavy hitters is a good idea, but if that is not possible maybe they can just comment on some finished games they played?

I don't know if the idea will really be that popular. I'm already having a tough time playing and typing inside at least two or three windows while I post a move because I've got the board, the analyze board, the Chess forum, and the post-to-forum window all open at the same time, plus maybe a window to surf about.com or read my inbox. Zucch. is playing three of these types of games. Yamiy. is playing two.
I only wanted to play one, no more. Reason one to play this kind of game obviously is for the third person commentary, i.e. Zucc v. PetC7 or Zucc. v. Paultopia public commentary threads. There hasn't been any real beneficial commentary in the other threads yet. The popularity of the idea may die down if the original purpose is defeated -- that is, third person commentary. Perhaps an entire forum dedicated to this type of game might be overkill. Limits, however, to the numbers of games played by a single individual in this manner might be a good idea. Perhaps limit one public comment game per person.
IMO, the pm system works great for annotating and commentary. I'm playing another game with lostatc and the commentary in the Message Log has taken on a whole 'nother dynamic very similar to public commentary nix the third person commentary possibility. It's easier to type a comment in message log than play around inside a bunch of extra windows anyway, and there's less pressure.
I have trouble believing that anyone really cares how many such threads there are. Rather, I assume your concern is how they are organized. This is a general issue for the forums. (e.g. How many threads have there been on the topic of the vacation flag?) I think that a hierarchical thread organization method would alleviate most such problems. It probably does not yet deserve its own forum, but I think if interest picks up, perhaps it will. I think that the site operator's input would be valuable in this discussion. (I have no idea whether they are aware of these games yet.)
I think these public games are a good idea for the site, as well as for mentoring. There is no other mechanism available on this site to play this type of game. They cannot be played via messages (can they?), as one of the most interesting parts is getting other people's comments. I hope that RHP eventually has specialized support for this type of game, as I would prefer not to use the forum format.
I find this type of game valuable and intend to keep at least one going unless I hear otherwise from the site operators. So far quite a few people have participated or shown interest. If you have a practical idea of how to do this, please post in the thread:
Help & Site Ideas -> May we comment on current game in forum?

I see only five such theads on the first page (as of when I am posting this). With so few, I see no problem with you scanning down the list of thread titles. I find that I am uninterested in most threads, but I accept this as part of the nature of a public site. If people are interested in this type of thread, they will keep it up. If not, it will die down.
Also, I see that the bottom post on the 1st page of the Chess was last updated 3 days ago. The bottom of page 2 updated 8 days ago. This is not such an active forum.
I don't seem to think that the idea will get very popular. Make no mistake...it's an awesome idea (a great way to learn more). But I think that many players may not feel comfortable revealing their moves to their opponents or are willing to put in the extra effort. This goes double for people playing many games at a time.
