long haul mortality rate

As a newcomer (I was when it started) to the Long Haul V tournament, I`m just wondering how many players actually die whilst waiting for the first round to finish?

I`m just concerned that senile dementia may set in before round two starts!

....and just how long would it take Kasparov to reach number one on the 21 day timeout ladder?
