Yes,I brag about a crappy game which was lost but it's also a hint to not resign until you've lost any hope! Merry Xmas!

Wow, great way to stick it out, he made quite a blunder letting your knight slip in the pawns, good effort.

If your opponent was ingorant enough no to recognize the consequences of the move(that gave you the win), you deserve to win, end of story.

Thanks, surely it was a bad game but at least my will to continue playing has been somewhat compensated.
I played c4 hoping for his g6 to chase the knight,if he did any other move I'd have resigned for sure.....

Some people will say it was an undeserved win and that you should have resigned, but then, the person to make the last but one blunder wins the game. If you resign after your first blunder, you cheat yourself out of the opportunity to see if you can pressure your opponent into the last blunder.

I see great learning possibilities in going gung ho in a lost game to force an attack looking to create positions in which there are many mistakes to be made. I would never deprive myself of this opportunity to learn to counterattack, unless I sensed an air of infallibility from my opponent, which is very rare apart from in players 2000+.

I can't agree more: when I started playing I used to resign as soon as I was a piece down, not realizing that I was just handing the game to my opponent without any effort in order to win it.
I gradually lost this bad habit (depends much on the mood however) and I can say that half of the games I thought were lost turned out in a good comeback battle and eventually in a draw or a win.
Obviously I'm not speaking about games where I have a lone king against Q+K or other clearly lost endgames, and also depends on the rating of the opponent, but generally it's a good thing to try to fight on for a few more moves, just to see if your opponent is able to pull a win with the advantage he got.

same sentiments here. Game 1532120 Thought I had the game. Then was sure I blew it (which I did) but then he handed me a draw and THEN he handed me the win. But it would never have happened if I didn't stick it out

I feel the same. Game 1651733 and Game 1567208. I was losing both badly and should have lost both but hung in there and played my best.

Here's a game where I made a huge miscalculation early on which cost me a rook. With a spot of luck... checkmate!
