In the Adventure game of Majestic Chess I'm stuck on the 2nd stage of Chapter 7 the Sphinx riddle --"In this position only one move does not checkmate black. Find the move and play it. HINT: Remove a pin on a black piece."

The answer is in your clue.

What white piece can you move that will not result in a check on the King?

It should't be that difficult to work out from the clue given.

No, white has to give check. But also he has tomake sure that black can move a piece in front off his king.

Bah! It's too easy if you've seen the position. It's much more challenging to try it sight unseen. My guess is Nxe5. Did I get it?
