I know, I was just teasing. You're better than that. Hell, you're better than me. What would you play, out of interest? Nb5 or Nc3? I tend to only bring the Qh4 line out against weaker players.

For me no excuse to play not the Marshall. Expecially the spassky variation. See for example:

Thank you for the advice. I have tried it my real games, and I definetly like the positions I get from it, it seems to me like a strong move.

Why avoid the Marshall? This is CC after all so you have the chance to experiment. I played the Marshall as black here Game 3538099 and as white (I won on timeout in an unclear position). The likes of John Nunn and Michael Adams play it as black so you try out razor sharp positions. If white makes it to the endgame then he usually has extra pawns and wins.
