I wonder if McShane considered playing 163. Kg6 Nxg8 164. Kf7, with checkmate maybe past move 200. One for the record books.
McShanes next game is against Carlsen right? that should mean an edge for Magnus, Im guessing McShane/Short are going to be fatigued for the next round

him and Kramnik are for sure the 2 top dogs of the tourney, so for them to meet in the 1st round and a have a decisive result fun.. going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
