Carlsen has bounced back with a truly wonderful game v Sulskis
(whose play in this game is also good, it takes two to tango).

I right eyeball to eyeball encounter and tactics all the way.
Some cute 'staircases' from Carlsen to manouver his Queen into a
better position.

Usually after a bad loss the player concerned is rested.
Carlsen shrugged off his bad day and normal service has been resumed.

Can someone post the game. I have to go to work and the pgn is not
yet available. You can see the game here.

It's an annoying layout with the moves appearing under the game
but you can go through the game with the left and right arrow keys.

You must have your screen resolution set to really big, the moves appear on the right for me on 1280x768... 🙂

For awhile there, I wasn't sure which Mickey we were talking about🙂 Mickey Mouse, Mickey Rourke....But I was Pretty sure Mickey Mouse didn't play chess🙂
Actually, Mickey Mouse does play chess. He and Karpov collaborated on a chess book a few years back.

I've never played the Big M, but I see him on a regular basis.

whooops meant Qf3 instead of h4 I'm betting. The queen is hanging.

It's to be expected that Carlson can experiment with different ideas and styles whilst preparing for serious tournaments. After Tal won the right to challenge Botvinnik he prepared by playing some terrible tournaments just to practice getting himself out of uncomfortable situations.

Let the kid play, we have the next 20 years to see him realize his potential!

I think the American Carlson typically comes from Karlsson. Carlsen makes me think some Dane slipped over to Norway 800 years ago..
