Middlegame planning

I recently received the book Chess Middlegame Planning by Peter Romanovsky as a gift from a friend. Before I start to plow into another chess book, I was wondering if anyone had seen this book before, and could tell me its strengths/weaknesses before I've devoted a lot of time to studying it.
